The project programme required me to achieve a foundation level of 22 metres below ground level, so the main difficulty was in creating this space. At this level, the next step involved modeling the differents spaces that looked into the fissure. The result was a project which blends into the crust but allows a direct connection, encompassing the idea that the river gives life to the city. The programme aimed to create four main differing spaces, meaning that lighting was an essential consideration. The resulting ideas produced a fascinating arrangement of lighting.
